The measuring line shall stretch out straight to the hill Gareb, and shall then turn to Goah.


When he brought me there, behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, with a line of flax and a measuring reed in his hand. And he stood in the gate.


You shall appoint the possession of the city five thousand cubits wide and twenty-five thousand cubits long adjacent to the allotment of the holy portion. It shall be for the whole house of Israel.


Therefore thus says the Lord: I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy, and My house will be built in it, says the Lord of Hosts, and a measuring line will be stretched over Jerusalem.


Then I said to the angel who was speaking with me, “Where are they carrying the basket?”


But now I am going to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’


I was given a reed like a measuring rod. The angel stood, saying, “Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it.
