So Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants. Then they bore children.


Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived.


When the Lord saw that Leah was unloved, He opened her womb, but Rachel was barren.


Jacob became angry with Rachel and said, “Am I in the place of God, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?”


When Esau looked up and saw the women and the children, he said, “Who are those with you?” Jacob said, “The children whom God has graciously given your servant.”


He gives the barren woman a home, to be a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord!


Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.


So now, my daughter, do not worry. All that you ask me, I will do for you. All of my fellow townsmen know that you are a woman of noble character.


May your house be like the house of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah, through the offspring that the Lord will give you by this young woman.”


For this boy I prayed, and the Lord has given me my petition which I asked of Him.


Those that were full have hired out themselves for bread, and those that were hungry ceased to hunger. Even the barren has borne seven, and she that has many children wastes away.
