12 The fourth angel sounded, and one-third of the sun was struck, and one-third of the moon, and one-third of the stars, so that one-third of them were darkened. One-third of the day had no light, and likewise one-third of the night.

For the stars of heaven and their constellations shall not give their light; the sun shall be dark when it rises, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.


Then the moon shall be humiliated and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of Hosts reigns in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and His glory shall be before His elders.


I looked on the earth, And behold, it was without form and void. And to the heavens, and they had no light.


Before them the earth quakes, the heavens shake; the sun and moon darken, and the stars withdraw their radiance.


The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awe-inspiring day of the Lord comes.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.


The god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.


His tail drew one-third of the stars of heaven, and threw them to the earth. The dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as He was born.


The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was filled with darkness. They gnawed their tongues because of the anguish,


I watched as He opened the sixth seal. And behold, there was a great earthquake. The sun became black, like sackcloth made from goat hair, and the moon became like blood.


And the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill one-third of mankind.


One-third of mankind was killed by these three plagues —by the fire and by the smoke and by the brimstone, which came out of their mouths.
