The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!


For we cannot help but declare what we have seen and heard.”


Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there came lightning, noises, thundering, an earthquake, and great hail.


All who dwell on the earth will worship him, all whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb who was slain from the foundation of the world.


And I heard a sound from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of a great thunder. I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps.


Then I heard something like the sound like a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying: “Alleluia! For the Lord God Almighty reigns!


The four living creatures had six wings each, and they were covered with eyes all around. All day and night, without ceasing, they were saying: “ ‘Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty,’ who was, and is, and is to come.”


Then I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written on the front and back, sealed with seven seals.


saying with a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”


When He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of saints.


When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come and see.”


When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and behold, there was a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.


When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!”


When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
