In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.


“Is not God in the height of heaven? And see the height of the stars, how high they are!


Is there any number to His armies? And upon whom does His light not rise?


Behold, even the moon does not shine, and the stars are not pure in His sight;


Remember to magnify His work, which men behold.


He made the moon for the seasons; the sun knows its place for setting.


Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who have pleasure in them.


Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you stars of light!


The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows His handiwork.


By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all their host by the breath of His mouth.


The heavens are Yours; the earth also is Yours; the world and all that is in it, You have founded them.


When He had made an end of communing with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.


Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.” Nevertheless, Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, just as the Lord had said.


But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, no doubt the kingdom of God has come upon you.


The invisible things about Him—His eternal power and deity —have been clearly seen since the creation of the world and are understood by the things that are made, so that they are without excuse.


And beware, lest you lift up your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, you are led astray and worship them, and serve them, that which the Lord your God has allotted to all nations under the whole heaven.
