“I have sewn sackcloth over my skin and thrust my horn into the dust.


Many are saying about my life, “There is no help for him in God.”    Selah


Through You we will push down our enemies; through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us.


Nevertheless man cannot remain in his splendor; he is like the beasts that perish.


With God we shall do valiantly, for it is He who will tread down our enemies.


I will send him against an ungodly nation, and against the people of My wrath I will give him a command, to seize the plunder, to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.


“I have trodden the winepress alone; and from the peoples there was no one with Me. For I will tread them in My anger, and trample them in My fury, and their blood shall be sprinkled upon My garments, and I will stain all My raiment.


O  Lord, the Hope of Israel, all who forsake You will be ashamed. “Those who forsake Me will be written in the dust, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.”


You went forth to deliver Your people, to deliver Your anointed one. You wounded the head of the house of the wicked, laying him bare from head to foot.    Selah


And they will be as mighty men, who trample down in the muddy streets in battle. They will fight because the Lord is with them, and He will put to shame those riding on horses.


And you will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I do this, says the Lord of Hosts.


See, my father! Look at the corner of your robe in my hand. Indeed, I cut off the corner of your robe, but I did not kill you. Observe and see that there is no evil or rebellion in my hand. I have not sinned against you, but you are lying in wait for my life to take it.


And you have shown today that you have dealt well with me, when the Lord delivered me into your hand and you did not kill me.


Now, behold, I know that you will surely be king and that the kingdom of Israel will be established in your hand.
