“I have heard many such things; miserable comforters are you all!


Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorn of those who are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.


Look to the right and see, for there is no one who acknowledges me; there is no refuge for me; no one cares for my soul.


As a shattering of my bones, my enemies reproach me, while they say to me all day long, “Where is your God?”


O my God, my soul is cast down within me; therefore I remember You from the land of Jordan, and of Hermon, from Mount Mizar.


I looked and there was no one to help, and I was astonished, and there was no one to uphold; therefore, My own arm brought salvation to Me; and My fury upheld Me.


But all this was done that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.


Then He came and found them sleeping and said to Peter, “Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not keep watch one hour?
