A certain man drew a bow at random and struck the king of Israel between the joints of the armor, and because of this, he said to the driver of his chariot, “Turn around and carry me out of the battle, for I am wounded.”


For the arrows of the Almighty are within me; my spirit drinks in their poison; the terrors of God are arrayed against me.


He sent out His arrows and scattered the enemy; He shot out lightnings and vanquished them.


that they may shoot in secret at the blameless; suddenly they shoot at him and do not fear.


How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed by terrors!


He who is often reproved, yet stiffens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed without remedy.


Therefore his calamity will come suddenly; suddenly he will be broken without remedy.


This is an evil in all that is done under the sun, that the same fate comes to all people. Moreover, the hearts of the children of man are full of evil, and madness is in their hearts while they live; after that they go to the place of the dead.


therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling up in a high wall, whose collapse comes suddenly, in an instant.


The heart is more deceitful than all things and desperately wicked; who can understand it?


Two will be in the field; one will be taken, and the other left.


I will heap misfortunes on them; I will use My arrows on them.


I will make My arrows drunk with blood, and My sword shall devour flesh, with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the heads of the leaders of the enemies.
