He takes away the understanding of the chiefs of the people of the earth, and causes them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.


In arrogance the wicked persecutes the poor; let them be caught in the devices they have planned.


His mouth is filled with cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.


And render to our neighbors sevenfold into their lap the reproach with which they have reproached You, O Lord.


The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, but the treacherous will be caught by their desires.


The wicked is ensnared by the transgression of his lips, but the righteous will escape from trouble.


The mouth of a fool is his undoing; his lips are the snare of his soul.


you are snared by the words of your mouth; you are taken by the words of your mouth.


the lips of my enemies and their devices against me all the day.


But I will spare a few men of them from the sword, from famine, and from pestilence, so that they may declare all their abominations among the nations where they go and know that I am the Lord.


Swearing, lying, and killing, and stealing and adultery break out, and bloodshed follows bloodshed.


On that day you will not be ashamed for all your deeds by which you have transgressed against Me; for then I will remove from your midst those who rejoice in your pride, and you will no longer be haughty in My holy mountain.

But they insisted, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to here.”
