Shimei said when he cursed: “Come out! Come out! You bloodthirsty man, you scoundrel!


The cords of death encompassed me, and the pangs of Sheol took hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow.


As a shattering of my bones, my enemies reproach me, while they say to me all day long, “Where is your God?”


My soul is greatly troubled, but You, O  Lord—how long?


Reproach has broken my heart, and I am in despair. I looked for pity, but there was none, and for comforters, but I found none.


For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draws near to Sheol.


“Now My soul is troubled. What shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? Instead, for this reason I came to this hour.


In the days of His flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications with loud cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death. He was heard because of His godly fear.
