“When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against You, if they pray toward this place and call upon Your name and turn from their sin when You afflict them,


whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, each knowing the affliction of his own heart, and spreading his hands toward this house;


He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house; he who tells lies shall not remain in my presence.


But there is forgiveness with You, so that You may be feared.


“Let us go into His dwelling place; let us worship at His footstool.”


I will bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and for Your truth, for You have magnified above all things Your name and Your word.


Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry to You, when I lift up my hands toward Your most holy place.


The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.


Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the abundance of Your compassion, blot out my transgressions.


But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.


As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord will save me.


But as for me, my prayer is to You, O  Lord, at an acceptable time; O God, in the abundance of Your mercy, answer me in the truth of Your salvation.


Hear me, O  Lord, for Your lovingkindness is good; turn to me according to the abundance of Your tender mercies.


There are six things that the Lord hates, seven are an abomination to Him:


a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,


Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.


Our holy and beautiful house where our fathers praised You is burned up with fire; and all our precious things are laid waste.


Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house. And his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he knelt on his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he had been doing previously.


Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They will come in fear to the Lord and to His goodness in the latter days.


Then the churches throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and were built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.


Let us then come with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.


If it is displeasing to you to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve, if it should be the gods your fathers served beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites’ land where you are now living. Yet as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
