For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will You allow Your holy one to see corruption.


All the prosperous ones of the earth will eat and worship; all who go down to the dust will bow before Him, even he who cannot preserve his own life.


What man can live and not see death? Who can deliver his soul from the power of Sheol?    Selah


Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.


Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.


No person has power over the wind to restrain it, or power over the day of death. No one is discharged from war, nor will wickedness release those who practice.


So where are your fathers, and do the prophets live forever?


God has fulfilled to us, their children, raising Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: ‘You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.’


For You will not abandon my soul to Hades, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.


he foresaw this and spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not abandoned to Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.
