For the king had ships at sea at Tarshish with the ships of Hiram. Every three years the ships of Tarshish came bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.


Jehoshaphat made ships of Tarshish to go to Ophir for gold, but they never made it there, for the ships were broken at Ezion Geber.


The peoples have heard and are afraid; sorrow has taken hold on the inhabitants of Philistia.


and they shall be afraid. Pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman who travails; they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.


and upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant sloops.


I will scatter them before the enemy as with an east wind; I will show them the back and not the face in the day of their calamity.
