For the arrows of the Almighty are within me; my spirit drinks in their poison; the terrors of God are arrayed against me.


Therefore You will put them to flight; You will aim Your bows at their faces.


For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was turned into the drought of summer.   Selah


Be gracious to me, O  Lord, for I am weak; O  Lord, heal me, for my bones are shaking.


But God will shoot an arrow at them; suddenly they will be wounded.


He has bent His bow and set me as a target for the arrow.


For indeed the hand of the Lord was against them, to destroy them from among their midst, until they were gone.


would you wait until they were grown? Would you refrain from getting married? No, my daughters. It is much more bitter for me than for you, for the hand of the Lord has turned against me.”

See, if it goes up by the way of His own territory to Beth-shemesh, then He has done us this great evil. But if not, then we will know that it is not His hand that struck us; it was by chance that it happened to us.”
