Now on the day the Lord delivered him from the hand of all of his enemies and from the hand of Saul, David spoke to the Lord the words of this song.


You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.


Deliver me, O  Lord, from my enemies; I flee unto You for refuge.


The cords of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me.


For in the time of trouble He will hide me in His pavilion; in the shelter of His tabernacle He will hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.


You will hide them in the shelter of Your presence from the plots of man; You will keep them secretly in a shelter from contentious tongues.


Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but lovingkindness will surround the man who trusts in the Lord.


He has put a new song in my mouth, praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.


For You, Lord, will bless the righteous; You surround him with favor like a shield.


The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.


He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
