Stretch Your hand from above; rescue me and deliver me out of the great waters, from the hand of foreigners,


Know that the Lord set apart the faithful for Himself; the Lord hears when I call to Him.


He has put a new song in my mouth, praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.


Deep calls to deep at the thunder of Your waterfalls; all Your waves and Your billows have gone over me.


A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.


“Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently, but they will not find me,


When you pass through waters, I will be with you. And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame kindle on you.


Thus says the Lord: In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you; and I will preserve you, and give you as a covenant of the people, to restore the earth, to make them inherit the desolate lands,


Seek the Lord while He may be found, call you upon Him while He is near.


You will look for Me and you will not find Me. And where I am, you cannot come.”


who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.


For He says: “In an acceptable time I have listened to you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.


But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, first, Jesus Christ might show all patience, as an example to those who were to believe in Him for eternal life.


teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly, righteously, and in godliness in this present world,
