Why do You stand far off, O  Lord? Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?


You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.


Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will preserve me; You will stretch Your hand out against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will deliver me.


Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings,


He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places.


You will hide them in the shelter of Your presence from the plots of man; You will keep them secretly in a shelter from contentious tongues.


Blessed be the Lord, for He has shown me His marvelous lovingkindness in a fortified city.


He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.


He has put a new song in my mouth, praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.


God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.


Call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will glorify Me.”


Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For in You my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of Your wings will I take refuge, until these calamities pass by.


From the end of the earth will I call to You, when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.


For You have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.


In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; in the night my hand was stretched out without ceasing; my soul refused to be comforted.


They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted together against Your treasured ones.


He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.


He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.


The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.


Lord, in trouble they have sought You; they poured out a prayer when Your chastening was on them.


Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide for a little while until the indignation is over.


A man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a shelter from the tempest, as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
