When the time of mourning was concluded, David sent for her and brought her to his house. She became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done was displeasing to the Lord.


He set up garrisons in Edom. Throughout all of Edom, he set up garrisons, and all of Edom became subject to David. The Lord helped David wherever he went.


But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.


Does He not see my ways, and count all my steps?


I keep Your precepts and Your testimonies, for all my ways are before You.


Were I to count them, they would be in number more than the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.


For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.


Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from the Lord and whose works are done in the dark, and they say, “Who sees us?” and “Who knows us?”


Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I do not see him? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord.


His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean His floor and gather His wheat into the granary, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”


Now supper being concluded, the devil had put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him.


When Jesus had said this, He was troubled in spirit, and testified, “Truly, truly I say to you that one of you will betray Me.”
