Joseph is a fruitful bough, a fruitful bough by a spring, whose branches run over the wall.


The sons of Ulam were mighty men of valor, even archers, and had many sons and grandsons, one hundred and fifty in all. These were all the sons of Benjamin.


Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.


Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed when they speak with their enemies in the gate.


May our sons in their youth be like plants fully grown, our daughters like pillars, sculptured to adorn a palace;


But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.


The Lord called your name, “A green olive tree, fair in fruit and form.” With the noise of a great tumult He has kindled fire upon it, and its branches are broken.


Your mother was like a vine in your vineyard, planted by the waters; it was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.


For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
