So King David rose to his feet and said, “Hear me, my brothers and my people. I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, a footstool for the feet of our God, so I prepared to build it.


Let this be the reward of my accusers from the Lord, and of those who speak evil against my soul.


O  Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens.


You have given him dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,


It is he who shall build the temple of the Lord; he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on his throne. He shall be a priest on his throne, and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.


Jesus said to him, “You have said so. But I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”


After the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God.


He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed,


For He will reign until He has put all enemies under His feet.


If you then were raised with Christ, desire those things which are above, where Christ sits at the right hand of God.


But to which of the angels did He at any time say: “Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool” ?


He is the brightness of His glory, the express image of Himself, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had by Himself purged our sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.


Let us look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.


Now this is the main point of the things that we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,


who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels and authorities and powers being made subject to Him.
