O Lord, I implore You, let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who delight to revere Your name. And let Your servant prosper this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.” For I was the king’s cupbearer.


Let Your ear now be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant, which I pray before You now, day and night, for the Israelites Your servants, and confess the sins of the Israelites, which we have sinned against You. Both my father’s house and I have sinned.


Then I answered them, and said to them, “The God of heaven will prosper us. Therefore we His servants will arise and build, but you will have no portion, or right, or memorial in Jerusalem.”


The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.


For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; nor has He hidden His face from him; but heard when he cried to Him.


Let their eyes be darkened so they do not see, and make their loins tremble continually.


For he will deliver the needy when he cries, the poor also, and him who has no helper.


For the needy will not always be forgotten, nor will the hope of the poor perish forever.


then the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.”


who confirms the word of His servant and performs the counsel of His messengers, who says to Jerusalem, “You shall be inhabited,” and to the cities of Judah, “You shall be built.” And I will raise up her ruins again;


Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when the city will be built to the Lord from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.


For the Lord will judge His people, and relent in regard to His servants, when He sees that their power is gone and there is no one left, whether restrained or free.


But if from there you will seek the Lord your God, you will find Him, if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
