for we were born but yesterday and know nothing, because our days on earth are a shadow.


I am gone like a shadow when it lengthens; I am shaken off like a locust.


Your name, O  Lord, endures forever, Your remembrance, O  Lord, throughout all generations.


But the Lord remains forever; He has established His throne for judgment.


In the morning it flourishes and grows up; in the evening it fades and withers.


God, moreover, said to Moses, “Thus you will say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’


Thus says the Lord the King of Israel, and his Redeemer the Lord of Hosts: I am the First, and I am the Last; besides Me there is no God.


Whereas you have been forsaken and hated so that no man went through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.


You, O  Lord, remain forever; Your throne endures from generation to generation.


The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath you are the everlasting arms; He will drive out the enemy before you, and will say, “Destroy them.”


Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
