David reigned over all of Israel, and he administered fair judgments to all of his people.


For when Solomon was old, his wives turned his heart away after other gods, and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God as the heart of David his father had been.


“If you will walk before Me, as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and uprightness, so that you are obedient to do all that I have commanded you, and will keep My statutes and My judgments,


But they did not remove the high places from Israel. Nevertheless the heart of Asa was wholly committed all his days.


Also in Judah the hand of God was on the people to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and officials by the word of the Lord.


My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in a blameless way, he shall serve me.

Depart from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of my God.


But as for me, I will walk in my integrity; redeem me and be gracious to me.


But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord is mindful of me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God.


“You shall make an altar of earth for Me and on it you shall sacrifice your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep, and your oxen. In every place where I cause My name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you.


and said, “Remember now, O  Lord, I beseech You, how I have walked before You in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done what is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.


You shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.


If it is displeasing to you to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve, if it should be the gods your fathers served beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites’ land where you are now living. Yet as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
