For he did not remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy and broken-hearted to slay them.


Guarantee the well-being of Your servant; let not the proud oppress me.


Oh that my ways were directed to keep Your statutes!


The proud have forged a lie against me, but I will keep Your precepts with all my heart.


The proud have dug pits for me; which is not according to Your law.


The proud have hidden a snare for me; they have spread cords as a net; by the wayside they have set traps for me.    Selah


Let the lying lips be put to silence, which speak insolently with pride and contempt against the righteous.


Let not the foot of the arrogant tread on me, and let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.


For the sin of their mouths and the words of their lips, let them be taken in their pride, and for the cursing and lies that they utter.


His mischief will return on his own head; his violence will descend on the crown of his own head.


Now I know that the Lord is greater than all gods, for in the matter in which they treated the people insolently, He was above them.”


Still, you exalt yourself against My people by forbidding them to go.
