You have seen it, for You observe trouble and grief, to repay it with Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the orphan.


from men by Your hand, O  Lord, from men of the world whose portion is in this life. You fill their belly with Your treasure; they are satisfied with children, and they leave their abundance to their infants.


May he vindicate the afflicted of the people, save the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor.


Let not the oppressed return ashamed; let the poor and needy praise Your name.


Defend the poor and the fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and the needy.


The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
