So Hathak went out to where Mordecai was in the area of the city in front of the king’s gate.

The wicked prowl on every side, as vileness is exalted among the sons of men.


in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the Lord; he who swears against harm and does not change;


Why do you boast of evil, O mighty man? The goodness of God endures continually.


Excellent speech is not fitting for a fool, much less do lying lips fit a prince.


Luxury is not fitting for a fool, much less for a servant to rule over princes.


A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, a rod is for the back of a fool.


Like he who binds a stone in a sling, so is he who gives honor to a fool.
