like a lion eager to rip its prey, and like a young lion lurking in secret places.


For without cause they have hidden their net for me in a pit, which they have dug without cause for my life.


They stir up strife, they lurk, they watch my steps, when they wait for my life.


for their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed blood.


but they lie in wait for their own blood; they lurk secretly for their own lives.


The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright will deliver them.
