who devour widows’ houses and for a pretense make long prayers. They will receive greater condemnation.”


But they did not understand this statement, and it was hidden from them, so that they did not perceive it. And they were afraid to ask Him about this statement.


Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, for he who is not against you is for you.”


What then? Are we better than they? No, not at all. For we have already charged that both Jews and Gentiles are all under sin.


What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? God forbid!


What am I saying then, that the idol is anything or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is anything?


What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding.


Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.


For I know that through your prayer and the support of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, this will result in my deliverance.
