David then said to Abishai and to all of his servants, “Behold, my son who came from my own body seeks my life, and now also this Benjamite. Leave him alone and let him curse if the Lord has so instructed him.


Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a pleasant child? For since I spoke against him, I still remember him; therefore My heart longs for him. I will surely have mercy on him, says the Lord.


And when you stand praying, forgive if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven may also forgive you your sins.


So he arose and came to his father. “But while he was yet far away, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and ran and embraced his neck and kissed him.


And be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.


If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or your beloved wife, or your friend, who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying, “Let us go and serve other gods,” which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers,


who in the past was unprofitable to you, but now he is profitable to you and to me.


I wanted to keep him with me, so that in your place he might serve me during my imprisonment for the gospel.
