The king commanded Joab, Abishai, and Ittai, “Deal gently with the young man Absalom.” All of the people heard the king instruct the commanders concerning Absalom.


Someone in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit.


I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service of worship.


I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.


For if you were to have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers. In Christ Jesus I have become a father to you through the gospel.


My little children, of whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you,


with Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will make known to you everything which is happening here.


To Timothy, my true son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.


To Titus, my own son in the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.


who in the past was unprofitable to you, but now he is profitable to you and to me.


I wanted to keep him with me, so that in your place he might serve me during my imprisonment for the gospel.


I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
