So Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, “Put away the foreign gods that are among you. Purify yourselves and change your clothes.


Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.


Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.


The Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and have them wash their clothes,


so he shall sprinkle many nations. Kings shall shut their mouths at him; for that which had not been told them they shall see, and that which they had not heard they shall consider.


O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your evil thoughts lodge within you?


Then I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean. From all your filthiness and from all your idols, I will cleanse you.


Whoever touches those things shall be unclean and shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and be unclean until the evening.

The Levites cleansed themselves from sin, and they washed their clothes, and Aaron offered them as a wave offering before the Lord, and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.
