Isaac dug again the wells of water, which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham. He called their names after the names his father had called them.


Of the sons of Nebo, there were Jeiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Jaddai, Joel, and Benaiah.


Those who choose another god multiply their sorrows; their drink offerings of blood I will not offer nor take their names upon my lips.


In all things that I have said to you, watch yourselves, and do not mention the name of other gods, nor let them be heard from your mouth.


For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah; the lords of the nations have broken down its choice plants; they have come as far as Jazer and wandered through the wilderness. Her branches are stretched out; they are passed over the sea.


Bel bows down, Nebo stoops, their idols are appointed to the beasts and the cattle. The things that you carry are burdensome; they are a burden to the weary beast.
