So Hanamel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the Lord and said to me, “Please buy my field, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin, for the right of inheritance and the redemption is yours. Buy it for yourself.” Then I knew that this was the word of the Lord.


If your brother becomes poor and has sold some of his possession, then his nearest redeemer will come to redeem it, and buy back that which his brother sold.


or either his uncle or his cousin may redeem him, or any who is near of kin to him of his family may redeem him. Or if he is able, he may redeem himself.


If he has no brothers, then you will give his inheritance to his father’s brothers.


So these things will be for a statute of judgment to you throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.


So it was so from that day forward, that he set it as a statute and an ordinance for Israel to this day.
