Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dancing.


Then his sister stood afar off so that she might know what would happen to him.


Now Amram married Jochebed his father’s sister, and she bore him Aaron and Moses. And the years of the life of Amram were one hundred and thirty-seven years.


You shall not have relations with your father’s sister, for she is your father’s relative.


And Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he married, for he had married a Cushite woman.


Then the Israelites, the whole assembly, came to the Wilderness of Zin in the first month, and the people dwelt in Kadesh, and Miriam died there and was buried there.
