because they did not meet the Israelites with bread and water, but hired Balaam to curse them. However, our God turned the curse into a blessing.


My soul longs and even yearns for the courtyards of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.


This is the inventory of the tabernacle, the tabernacle of testimony, as it was counted according to the commandment of Moses for the service of the Levites by the hand of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest.


You are altogether beautiful, my beloved, and there is no blemish on you.


You are so beautiful, like Tirzah, my beloved, lovely as Jerusalem, awesome as an army with banners.


You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths,


May the Lord cut off from the tents of Jacob any descendant of the man who does this, teacher and student, yet who brings an offering to the Lord of Hosts.


The Israelites did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses. So they camped by their standards, and so they set out, each one after his family, according to their fathers’ houses.


Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling in their tents by their tribes, and the Spirit of God came on him.


he has said, who heard the words of God, who saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:


“Like palm trees are they spread out, like gardens by the river’s side, like the aloe plant, which the Lord has planted, and like cedar trees beside the waters.


Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help, who is the sword of your majesty! Your enemies will cringe before you, and you will tread upon their high places.


but I refused to listen to Balaam. Therefore he blessed you still, and I delivered you out of his hand.
