Then he said, “Which way should we go up?” And he said, “The way through the Wilderness of Edom.”


Moses spoke so to the Israelites, but they did not listen to Moses on account of their anguish of spirit and for cruel bondage.


Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites lived in the valley. Tomorrow you will turn, and you will set out for the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.”


Moses did as the Lord commanded, and they went up onto Mount Hor in the sight of all the assembly.


And why would you discourage the hearts of the Israelites from going over into the land which the Lord has given to them?


When they went up to the Valley of Eshkol and saw the land, they discouraged the hearts of the Israelites so they would not go into the land which the Lord had given them.


They set out from Mount Hor and camped in Zalmonah.


strengthening the minds of the disciples and exhorting them to continue in the faith, to go through many afflictions and thus enter the kingdom of God.


But as for you, turn around, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.”


Then we turned, and set out toward the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea, as the Lord spoke to me, and we circled Mount Seir for many days.


“They went into the wilderness, around the lands of Edom and Moab. They went east of the land of Moab and set up camp on the other side of the River Arnon. They did not cross the boundary of Moab, for the River Arnon was the boundary of Moab.
