Then they turned back and came to En-mishpat (that is, Kadesh) and conquered all the country of the Amalekites and also the Amorites who lived in Hazezon Tamar.


The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; the Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.


Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dancing.


Then his sister stood afar off so that she might know what would happen to him.


Then his sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter, “Shall I go and call for you a nursing woman of the Hebrew women so that she may nurse the child for you?”


The south side, toward the Negev, shall run from Tamar even to the waters of Meribah Kadesh, from there along the Brook of Egypt to the Mediterranean Sea. This shall be the south side, toward the Negev.


For I have brought you up from the land of Egypt, and from the house of slaves I have redeemed you; and I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

And when we cried out to the Lord, He heard our voice and sent an angel and brought us out of Egypt. “And here we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your territory.


They journeyed from Kadesh, and the Israelites, even the whole assembly, came to Mount Hor.


Moses stripped Aaron of his garments and put them on Eleazar his son. And Aaron died there on the top of the mountain, and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.


And the name of the wife of Amram was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bore to Levi in Egypt, and she bore to Amram Aaron and Moses and Miriam their sister.


For you rebelled against My commandment in the Wilderness of Zin when the congregation argued against Me. You did not show My holiness at the waters before their eyes.” (These are the waters of Meribah in Kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin.)


They set out from Ezion Geber and camped in the Wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.


So you dwelt in Kadesh many days, according to the days you dwelt there.


Now the length of time it took for us to come to Kadesh Barnea until we crossed over the brook Zered was thirty-eight years, until all the generation of the men of war perished from among the army, just as the Lord swore to them.


because you trespassed against Me among the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh, in the Wilderness of Zin, because you did not treat Me as holy in the midst of the Israelites.


for when Israel came up from Egypt, they went into the desert as far as the Red Sea and came to Kadesh.
