David built an altar to the Lord there and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. Then the land pleaded with the Lord, and the plague was averted from Israel.


Then Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was stayed.


Every man took his censer and put fire in it, and laid incense on it, and stood at the door of the tent of meeting with Moses and Aaron.


A fire went out from the Lord and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.


Aaron took it as Moses commanded and ran into the midst of the assembly. And behold, the plague had already begun among the people. And he put in the incense and made an atonement for the people.


Now those who died in the plague were fourteen thousand seven hundred, besides those that died concerning the thing of Korah.


Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have become whole. Sin no more lest something worse happens to you.”


and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead —Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.


Confess your faults to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much.
