For what portion of God is there from above? And what inheritance of the Almighty from on high?


Does not destruction belong to the wicked, and calamity to the workers of iniquity?


then they would have swallowed us alive, when their anger was kindled against us;


Let death seize them, and let them go down alive to Sheol, for wickedness is in their dwellings and in their midst.


For the Lord shall rise up as at Mount Perazim, He shall be wrathful as in the Valley of Gibeon to do His work, His unusual work, and bring to pass His task, His exceptional task.


Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not be aware of it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.


I have made the earth and created man on it. I, even My hands, have stretched out the heavens, and I have ordained all their host.


I form the light and create darkness; I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things.


How long will you go about, O faithless daughter? For the Lord has created a new thing in the earth: A woman shall obtain a man.
