Joshua was the father of Joiakim, Joiakim was the father of Eliashib, Eliashib was the father of Joiada,


Then the priests and the Levites purified themselves. They also purified the people, the gates, and the wall.


then from above the Ephraim Gate past the Old Gate, the Fish Gate, the Tower of Hananel, and the Tower of the Hundred, as far as the Sheep Gate, but they stood still at the Gate of the Guard.


Also, one of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was a son-in-law to Sanballat the Horonite, so I drove him away from me.


Before this, Eliashib the priest, who had been appointed to govern the chambers of the house of our God, was related to Tobiah.


After him Baruch the son of Zabbai zealously repaired another section, from the corner to the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.


After him Meremoth the son of Uriah the son of Hakkoz repaired another section from the door of the house of Eliashib to the end of it.


Between the upper room of the corner tower and the Sheep Gate, the goldsmiths and the merchants made repairs.


When Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies heard that I had rebuilt the wall and that there was not a gap in it (though at that time I had not erected the doors on the gates),


Once the wall was rebuilt and I had erected the doors, the gatekeepers, the singers, and the Levites were appointed.


I will extol You, O  Lord, for You have lifted me up, and have not let my foes rejoice over me.


Walk about Zion, and go all around her; count her towers;


In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.


Honor the Lord with your substance, and with the firstfruits of all your increase;


Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when the city will be built to the Lord from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.

The officers will speak to the people, saying, “What man is there who has built a new house and has not dedicated it? Let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.
