These two things have befallen you; who shall be mournful for you? Desolation, and destruction, and famine, and sword— how shall I comfort you?


For who shall have pity on you, O Jerusalem? Or who shall bemoan you? Or who shall go aside to ask how you are doing?


Therefore thus says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.
