who say, “Stand by yourself; do not come near to me, for I am holier than you!” These are smoke in My nose, a fire that burns all day.


The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a gluttonous man, a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”


For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?


While Jesus sat at supper in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples.


When the scribes and Pharisees saw Him eating with tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, “How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”


When they saw it, they all murmured, saying, “He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.”


But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against His disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”


saying, “You went in and ate with uncircumcised men!”


We are Jews by nature, and not Gentile sinners,


He is able to have compassion on the ignorant and on those who are wayward, for he himself is also subject to weakness.


If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, nor greet him.
