But Jesus perceived their wickedness and said, “Why test Me, you hypocrites?


“And why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the log that is in your own eye?


Or how will you say to your brother, ‘Let me pull the speck out of your eye,’ when a log is in your own eye?


“Do not give what is holy to the dogs, nor throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn around and attack you.


You hypocrites! You can discern the appearance of the sky and of the earth. But why do you not know how to discern this time?


The Lord then answered him and said, “You hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead it away to water it?


He said to them, “You will surely say to Me this proverb, ‘Physician, heal Yourself. Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country.’ ”


How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother’s eye.


But the evil spirit answered, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”
