he has said, who heard the words of God, who saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the Day of Judgment than for that town.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.


But I say to you, it will be more tolerable on that Day for Sodom than for that city.


He did not say this on his own authority. But being the high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,


But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.


when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be marveled at by all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.


For these things I suffer, but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him until that Day.


May the Lord grant that he may find mercy from the Lord on that Day. You know very well how many ways he ministered to me at Ephesus.


From now on a crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved His appearing.
