And are you seeking great things for yourself? Do not seek them. For behold, I will bring disaster upon all flesh, says the Lord, but I will give you your life as spoils of war in every place, wherever you go.”


But when they deliver you up, take no thought of how or what you will speak. For it will be given you at that time what you will speak.


He also who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.


Therefore, take no thought, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’


Therefore, take no thought about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take thought about the things of itself. Sufficient to the day is the trouble thereof.


But when they arrest you and hand you over, take no thought beforehand, or premeditate what you should speak. But speak whatever is given you in that time, for it is not you who speaks, but the Holy Spirit.


But the cares of this age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.


“When they bring you to the synagogues, rulers, and authorities, do not be anxious how you will answer or what you will say.


That which fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with the cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity.


He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?


But I prefer that you have no concern. He who is unmarried cares for the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord.


Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known to God.


No soldier on active duty entangles himself with civilian affairs, that he may please the enlisting officer.


Cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you.
