For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?


But I will warn you whom you shall fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell. Yes, I say to you, fear Him.


knowing this, that our old man has been crucified with Him, so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we should no longer be slaves to sin.


For if you live according to the flesh, you will die, but if through the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.


But I bring and keep my body under subjection, lest when preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.


Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.


Therefore put to death the parts of your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
