“If I have kept the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,


You shall not afflict any widow or orphan.


But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the Day of Judgment than for you.”


“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven against men. For you neither enter yourselves, nor allow those who are entering to go in.


“You serpents! You generation of vipers! How can you escape the judgment of hell?

For there are many unruly men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,


My brothers, not many of you should become teachers, knowing that we shall receive the greater judgment.


They have eyes full of adultery that cannot cease from sin. They entice unstable souls. Their hearts are trained in greed. They are cursed children!


And in their greed they will exploit you with deceptive words. Their judgment, made long ago, does not linger, and their destruction does not slumber.
