Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your word.


It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I might learn Your statutes.


The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy.


Jesus went ashore and saw a great assembly. And He was moved with compassion toward them, and He healed their sick.


Then Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have remained with Me now for three days and have nothing to eat. I will not send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.”


They said to Him, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.”


When they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, on the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,


He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she rose and served them.


Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith, let it be done for you.”


But when He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they fainted and were scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.


He took him aside from the crowd, and put His fingers into his ears, and spit and touched his tongue.


Immediately he received his sight and followed Him, glorifying God. When all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.


But Jesus said, “This is enough!” And He touched his ear and healed him.


When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.”


to open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’


Therefore, in all things it was necessary for Him to be made like His brothers, so that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in the things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.


Finally, be all of one mind, compassionate, loving toward one another, gracious, and kind.
