After this, Joseph was told, “Behold, your father is ill.” So he took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim with him.


And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for their good and for their children after them.


Then Peter took Him and began rebuking Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord! This shall not happen to You.”


For there are some eunuchs who have been so from birth, there are some eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are some eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. He who is able to receive this, let him receive it.”


The crowd rebuked them, that they should be silent. But they cried out even more, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”


For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call.”


For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband. Otherwise, your children would be unclean. But now they are holy.


When she had weaned him, she took him up with her with three bulls, one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine. And she brought him to the house of the Lord in Shiloh, though the boy was young.
