Then He commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to His disciples; and the disciples gave them to the crowds.


He commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground.


And He took the cup and gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.


Then He took the bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.”


As He sat at supper with them, He took the bread, blessed it and broke it, and gave it to them.


Jesus then took the loaves, and when He had given thanks, He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were sitting down; and likewise, they distributed the fish, as much as they wanted.


However, other boats came from Tiberias near the place where they ate bread when the Lord had given thanks.


When he had said this, he took some bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of them all. And when he had broken it, he began to eat.


He who observes the day observes it for the Lord, and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and the one who does not eat, in honor of the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God.


Therefore, whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.


Otherwise, when you bless with the spirit, how will he who does not understand say “Amen” at your giving of thanks, seeing he does not understand what you say?


As soon as you come into the city, you will find him before he goes up to the high place to eat. For the people will not eat until he comes, because he must bless the sacrifice. Afterwards those invited will eat. Now therefore, go up, for about this time of the day you will find him there.”
